Lawrence Kudlow

Lawrence Kudlow serves as anchor of CNBC's business news show 'Kudlow & Company' and as an economic commentator for the network.

Kudlow started his career at the New York Federal Reserve in the division responsible for implementing monetary policy through open market operations. Lawrence Kudlow worked in the White House under President Reagan's first term, helping to develop the president's economic and budget policy. At that time he started his media career reporting for CNN's 'Business Morning.'

After his stint with the Reagan administration he pursued a career at Bear Stearns and in economic consulting positions. At this time Kudlow developed a reputation as a supply-side economist (the central thesis of which is that low taxes stimulate economic growth).

Kudlow continued his media career contributing to the Wall Street Journal, Washington Times, appearing on the McLaughlin Group and the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. For a time he co-hosted Kublow & Cramer with James Cramer until the show lost Cramer, changing its name to Kudlow and Company.
