Abbreviation for Dividend Reinvestment Plan, which is an investment plan offered by some corporations enabling shareholders to automatically reinvest cash dividends and capital gains distributions, thereby accumulating more stock without paying brokerage commissions. Also known as Dividend Reinvestment Program.
